Thank you to all our local organizers who worked to make this year's Living Wage Week the largest yet: 15 updated calculations and 5 new rates. The map is steadily getting filled in.

    Thanks for your question Wayne. In 2017 United Way Bruce Grey decided to use a different family model for their living wage. For consistency, we encourage communities to use the Canadian Living Wage Framework, which specifies a family of two working parents with two small children.

    But we also understand that local communities may have their reasons for going with another family type as well.

    We’re working towards full provincial coverage, but at the moment there is no living wage calculation for York Region.
